The Galleria Pierra Design Master’s event on May 25th, 2006 was a huge success. We had a variety of guests from notable North Texas architects, designers, builders and artists to local celebrities.

The event was celebrating the article run in Architectural Digest's Design Master's section in thier June 2006 issue featuring Stone Legends Owner Richard Carey. Click here to see the Article.

All of our guests were greeted by complimentary valet parking, friendly staff and a red carpet walk to the showroom where they experienced a unique gathering of artisans plying their crafts.

The ambient music, stimulating conversation and light hors d’oeuvres created the perfect backdrop for the evening. However, the live oil painting, sculpting from a variety of disciplines, a stone fireplace installation and a CAD demonstration of architectural renderings all combined to make the evening truly memorable. • JD Miller – Artist
  Contemporary artist JD Miller combines Monet’s chromatic sensibility with Van Gogh’s physical application of paint to create multi- dimensional images on canvas. The result is a vibrant explosion of sculptural oils, rich in light, form and color, which create a unique emotional sensation and a signature ambiance.
• L. Hart Rueter – Stone Legends Art Studios
  Artist L. Hart Rueter will be demonstrating the Stone Legends method of transferring a 2 dimensional CAD image into a three dimensional reality which is then sent through the molding and repetitive casting process. Rick Bennett – Specialty Stone Installation 25 years experience. Rick specializes in architectural cast stone, limestone, and marble installation locally and world wide.
• Matthew Broussard – Artistic Consultant – Statuary
  Matthew Broussard is working with Galleria Pierra to provide insight regarding the themes and histories of the statuary on display.
• Jeff Liston – Stone Legends Art Studios
  Local Texas sculptor, Jeff Liston, will be quick carving what is deemed as “Sand castles”. He will be carving from the Stone Legends tamping mixture used in casting stone. There is only a three-hour window to carve a piece to completion.
• Richard Drummond Davis – Architect
  This Dallas-based architectural firm specializes in homes and estates influenced by authentic period and eclectic architecture as well as contemporary residences and sophisticated urban town homes. Also featured at Galleria Pierra by Richard Drummond Davis is the English Renaissance Signature Library Desk. This one-of-a-kind desk has been individually designed and hand crafted of the finest available materials. To preserve the value of this creation, the design will not be duplicated or reproduced. The piece is numbered and signed in sterling silver and a leather bound volume documents the history of the design, materials and the craftsmen who produced it.
• Jaime V. Johnson – Stone Legends CAD Analyst
  Come See what’s new on the outside before it happens in 3D. Get involved with the innovative uses of cast stone as we explore the possibilities for our Galleria’s outdoor attractions.
• Scott Gentry – Sculptor
  Scott Gentry is a sculptor of figuratism and modernism in stone and bronze. He is an instructor at the Creative Arts Center and his work is held in both private and public collections. His demonstration will talk about the stone sculpting process and the tools used for each step.
